Select Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features -> Sage 50 Accounting on the programs list.
Then click Change -> Select Repair, and then click Next
The repair process will begin.
Close the report. From the Home window, click Reports, Banking, Account Reconciliation Report. Change the Start date to within the current or previous year. Verify the Finish date is within the current or previous year. Click OK.
Having issues launching your sage 50 application? There are multiple reasons behind this error which includes –
1. Path for data file has been changed.
2. Data file is corrupted or damaged.
3. Program files have been deleted or damaged.

Making a regular daily full backup of your data will ensure that you have the information you need if a restore of your data has to be done.
Disable the Anti-virus to not scan the files.
Rerun the report, from the navigation pane, select Reports, Government Reports
Select Federal Tax Filing, State Tax Filing or W-2s on Paper
Click ‘OK’
Select Display to view the report
